Sound Q

Sound Q Documentation

Thank you for being a beta tester for Sound Q, the first programmable Soudboard app for the iPhone. The documentation if very limited, for now, but here ya go.

Here is a quick look at the interface:

(CURRENTLY UPDATING THE INTERFACE. PLEASE CHECK AGAIN LATER.)

Here is a list of the main areas of Sound Q:

1 – 10. Add / Play / Pause button. (Programable buttons)

11. Volume Slider

12. Now playing indicator

13. Stop/Clear button

1 – 10. Add / Play / Pause Buttons

Sound Q comes with 10 programable buttons. You can add any songs or sounds you want to the button as long as your iPod app on the phone can play them.

Add

At first, these buttons are “Add” buttons. This means you can associate or “map” a song or sound to that particular button. You may tap one of these buttons once to map a sound to it.

Play / Pause

Once you have mapped a sound to a particular button, it then functions as a Play / Pause button for that sound.

11. Volume Slider

This controls the main volume of the app.

12. Now Playing Indicator

Indicates what is playing now. Also Lets you know when you have a paused sound in the queue.

13. The Stop / Clear button

This button serves two purposes: Tap this button to Stop the current sound playing. If there is a sound paused, the queue is cleared. If there is nothing playing and nothing paused, it does nothing. Hold this button down to clear all mappings in the app. This disassosiates all sounds from their buttons.

Future of Sound Q

Interface

Sound Q bottom tab bar may be removed to give more display real-estate to the user.

The interface will be “spiced up” a bit before release.

Functionality

There may be a switch added that will play the mapped sounds like a playlist.

Known Bugs / unexpected “features”:

9/27/2011 – FIXED: Interruptions: Currently, Sound Q can not handle certain interruptions such as the iOS device going to sleep. If a sound is being played, it will stop. Please report any others.

9/27/2011 – ADDED FUNCTIONALITY: Custom Sound Recording added. NOTE: Can not yet map to a button.

Please report any bugs to soundqapp@gmail.com.
